Human Tecar® Mat as a rehabilitation tool

As part of a post-surgery rehabilitation regimen, the proprioceptive Human Tecar® Mats allow to accelerate recovery. In detail, these are mats which surfaces simulate different types of terrain – e.g. rock, sand, grass – having different degrees of instability.

Walking barefoot over these mats activates muscular receptors and tendons which force the patient to control his/her motions, pushing the body to attain balance and improving strength and agility.

The mats are built with materials that avoid joint and tendon overload; such overload may lead to overexertion of already strained muscle and tendon groups. The patient in the picture underwent Achilles tendon reconstruction surgery and is now following a rehabilitation program using these mats and other cutting-edge technology as part of the Human Tecar anti-muscle ageing  method.
